The Linumeric-LPT v1 device is equipped with 2 LEDs for signaling operation of the device.
Green diode [PWR]
- steady light means that the device is connected and powered on
- a diode that is not lit or blinking means that the device is turned off or power problems

Red diode [ERR]
- a steady or blinking LED indicates an unconfigured device, no LinuxCNC control or an error in the control
- no LED means that the device maintains proper communication with LinuxCNC

Errors in control
After any error in the control, the red ERR LED lights up. If the error persists, the LED lights up all the time, if the error does not occur, the LED goes out after 2 seconds.
Since the error signaling itself on the device could not be noticed, an additional error message is displayed in the LinuxCNC software. Errors are displayed in the lower right corner.
Linumeric-LPT errors
- LINUMERIC_LPT_C100 - Frame broken!
The message indicates an incomplete data frame from LinuxCNC to Linumeric-LPT with the address 0xC100. If this error occurs, do not continue processing because there is a real risk of losing the dimension. Diagnose the cause of the error.

- LINUMERIC_LPT_C100 - Input frame lose!
The message signals at least one lost data frame from LinuxCNC to Linumeric-LPT with the address 0xC100. If this error occurs, do not continue processing because there is a real risk of losing the dimension. Diagnose the cause of the error.

- LINUMERIC_LPT_C100 - Fifo error!
The message indicates a FIFO registry error on the Linumeric_LPT device with the address 0xC100 - most likely there is too big Jitter on the computer or too low BASE_PERIOD value. If this error occurs, do not continue processing because there is a real risk of losing the dimension. Diagnose the cause of the error.

- LINUXCNC - Frame broken from LINUMERIC_LPT_C100!
The message indicates an incomplete data frame from Linumeric-LPT with the address 0xC100 to LinuxCNC. If this error occurs, do not continue processing because there is a real risk of losing the input signal. Diagnose the cause of the error.

- LINUXCNC - Frame lose from LINUMERIC_LPT_C100!
The message indicates at least one lost data frame from Linumeric-LPT with address 0xC100 to LinuxCNC. If this error occurs, do not continue processing because there is a real risk of losing the input signal. Diagnose the cause of the error.

- Opening LINUMERIC_LPT_C100 - Error!
The message indicates the lack of or trouble with communication with Linumeric-LPT with the address 0xC100. If this error occurs, do not continue processing as there is a real risk of not communicating with Linumeric-LPT.
